Status Report - 2016.06.12 - Print & Play This Week

With graphic design creation now finished, we should be able to deliver the Print and Play rewards this week. We are extremely busy and putting in long hours right now, so this will be a short update.
We've removed the translation deliverable from development. This will be re-added to a more logical section after a few more of these sections get knocked out.
Current Work
Graphic Design - The final pieces of God Card iconography have been completed. We have submitted them for review to our editors and internal team members.
Print & Play - We will now be finishing all the layout for the print and play. We will then create the downloadable files and deploy to Print and Play backers. We are fairly confident we are on pace to have this will happen by next weekend. We will not likely have a totally beautified rulebook by then, but we will at least have a text only edition of the final rules.

Status Report - 2016.06.05 - Surveys Sent, Print and Play nearly finished

Important! You should have received a survey from a company called BackerKit in your email. If you have not received it, please check your spam folder. If you are unable to find the survey, please ensure you contact [email protected]
You must fill out the survey in order to receive your copies of Santorini.
Current Work
Pledge manager - As you know, we've sent out the surveys this week. This is the first time we have used BackerKit, so there has been a bit of a learning curve for our team, and we had to do some rejigging of a few of the surveys, which cost us a few days. The deadline to lock down your survey is June 30.
Add-ons - When you fill your survey out, you are able to purchase Roxley's other titles at a good discount.
Print and Play - Now that the surveys finally went out and we answered the initial flood of questions that always result, Gavan is now able to focus his time on finishing the remainder of the graphic design work. Delivering the Print and Play will be our team's primary focus now and we hope to get it out by the end of next weekend.
Once we have completed sending the Print and Play files to the Print and Play level backers, we will provide instructions for other backers to request them.
Australian / NZ Backers - For those of you interested in purchasing Steampunk Rally as an add-on, we are currently waiting on a quote to if we can get it to you for a more reasonable shipping rate.
Joe has finished a three more god tutorial videos, and he's got more to come! Enjoy!

Status Report - 2016.05.29 - Illustration complete, Graphic design progressing

Current Work
Pledge manager - We intended to send out the BackerKit survey last week. However felt it prudent to give a few more days to review the setup before sending it out. BackerKit will now be reviewing our setup on Tuesday morning. Barring anymore hangups, we'll hopefully have it out by Tuesday May 29. Apologies for the delay on getting these out, but we feel it's important to ensure we have our ducks in a row so that we don't create confusion.
Print and Play - Gavan's primary objective for this week is getting the print and play ready for deployment. We have pushed the delivery date out to June 5, as there is still quite a bit of iconography needed for the god powers.
Rulebook Graphic Design - Once the Print and Play content is at a state where it's ready to be delivered, Gavan will begin work on laying out the rules. We will likely layout a simple set of rules without diagrams for the initial Print and Play delivery, and update the link with the final rules when they are complete.
Illustration - Our illustrators are done! They have maybe one or two components left to create, but other than that, all illustration for the game is completely finished!

Status Report - 2016.05.22 - BackerKit survey this week.

We are currently right in the middle of a lot of work, so we'll keep the update short and sweet this week. The major update is that we will be sending out a survey this week via BackerKit.
Current Work
Rulebook Draft (Development) - Our editors have completed the text for the final draft of the written rulebook this week! They did a fantastic job. Those who made significant editing contribution to the rulebook will mentioned within the rulebook.
Illustration - Mr Cuddington still has to complete the shields and the card backs, which they are hoping to finish by the end of this week. There are also a few final polishing touches that need to be performed on the storybook.
Graphic Design - Gavan has a busy week coming up. Laying out the Rules in InDesign as well as finishing off the iconography for the god powers. We've actually added some iconography to the front of each card that will show each God's compatibility with different player counts, whether it can be used with the Golden Fleece mode, and which gods they are not able to play against (we decided to ban a few matchups to ensure a consistent experience).
Print & Play - It is going to be close, but depending on how this week goes, we will likely still make our May 31 Print & Play release date. However, it is possible that PnP delivery spills into the first week of June.
Manufacturing - Lots of communication with the manufacturer this week. We received a new sample for the building blocks which feature a tapered inset, which will allow the bricks to slot into each other more easily. We will also be making the domes slightly larger so that they are easier to remove from the top of a cupola. More adjustments are still required, but we'll post a picture of them once they are complete.
Pledge manager - While Pledgemanager.com seemed like a great option, we decided to use BackerKit.com in the end due to their more complete feature set. We setup the survey this weekend, and we will hopefully be able to send out the surveys either Monday or Tuesday.
Zeus Editions - We are still on schedule, but further work on Zeus Edition components has been put on hold until the files are submitted to the manufacturer.
The final god card stretch goals are finished! Here they are:
Tartarus - (god of the abyss) - Mark one space on the board as the Abyss. If any player's Builder enters the Abyss, they immediately lose.
Europa & Talus - (queen and guardian automaton) - At the end of each turn, place Talus in an unoccupied space neighboring your Builder that moved. All players treat the space containing Talus as if it contains only a dome.

Status Report - 2016.05.15 - Prepress progress

Rulebook draft - We have extended the deadline for the draft rulebook for another few days as our hardworking editors crisp things up.
Manufacturing - We are painfully slogging through all of the minutia involved in specing out the print run. It involves lots of diagrams and vociferous commentary.
We are deciding on the style of packaging for the expansion as well. We are awaiting the final quote
Pledge Manager - We have made a choice on which pledge manager we will use. We will reveal this, along with our plans for sending out the survey this week.
Golden Fleece logo - Gavan has created a draft for the golden Fleece Expansion logo below. The Golden Fleece expansion will be present in your Kickstarter edition, but the components will likely be packaged within a bag or box featuring this logo.
Storybook - Mr Cuddington is now nearly complete the story book illustrations. Below is a little preview of some of the spreads.
After a backer named Wim sent us his giant lego Santorini block, and we told him how much we loved it, he went out and bought more lego to build the rest of the pieces!
